More about this Producer
The vines are located in the commune of Camaret at the entry to the winery. The Grenache are very old vines having been planted in 1922. The quality of the wine is enhanced through attentive nurturing of the old vines and the maintenance of a permanent grass cover to increase the soil’s organic matter and to promote microbial life.
The Nain Rouge, French for “red dwarf” or “red gnome” is a mythical creature that some believe originated in Normandy, France, as a type of lutin. Original legends tell of the creature being seen as a protector of Detroit, Michigan, but due to modern interpretations, is now feared by its residents as “the harbinger of doom.”
