August 15, 1918, Manoel Domingues Poças Júnior and his uncle established Poças & Comandita, a company dedicated to the sale of grape spirits for fortifying Port Wine. Today, with three quintas in the best winemaking areas of the Douro Demarcated Region, Poças ensures its total control over the quality of its wines and the family is more involved than ever before.
Pousada creates fortified wines that are produced in the mountainsides along the Douro Valley.
