Woodberry Wine adds Brittan Vineyards to its portfolio
McMinnville, Oregon Pinot and Chardonnay producer wows the market
Troy, Mich. – Woodberry Wine, LLC announces the addition of Brittan Vineyards to their portfolio, and introduces yet another sensational producer to the Michigan market. Brittan Vineyards, owned by the husband and wife duo of Robert and Ellen Brittan, have brought their incredible winemaking talents back to cool climate Oregon and are producing single vineyard Pinot Noir and Chardonnay that have wine aficionados and critics praising. Indeed, their wines consistently score in the mid-90s from Wine Spectator and Wine Enthusiast.
For 30 years, Robert Brittan honed his skills as a winemaker at iconic properties such as Stags’ Leap and Far Niente, while Ellen spent 10 years working with Rudd in Oakville, California. They began their dream of producing iconic Oregon wine in 2004, when they found the perfect location in the Willamette Valley. Their first vintage was bottled in 2006 and today their allocated production of 1500 cases comes from their 30-acre vineyard. The wines are Burgundian in style, with excellent minerality and complexity that drinks well today and yet improves with age. Their three focus, and most famous wines, include the Basalt Block and Gestalt Block Pinot Noir, and their Chardonnay. They also produce a very small amount of estate Syrah.
